Until Your Love Consumes Me

When dust flies high in the skies,
Beware—my hope comes tumbling down,
As my patience sinks to depths unknown,
And my light flickers, dim and cold.
Yet still, I will wait upon You, oh God,
Until Your love consumes me!
My grief knows no borders,
My disgrace obeys no orders.
Wandering in shadows, lost in despair,
Yet, I lift my eyes, for I know You are there.
So I will stand tall in the hope of tomorrow,
Until Your love consumes me!
I stand in remorse, clothed in disgrace,
For time once wasted, now none can replace.
Ashamed of my sin, yet longing for grace,
Aching for mercy, to cleanse every trace.
So I rest in the shelter of Your embrace,
I will not move from this sacred place,
Until Your love consumes me!
I will bask in the undulance of Your presence,
Let waves of mercy wash over my soul.
I will drink deep from the well of Your kindness,
And quench my thirst with Your love untold.
For You are my refuge, my fortress, my song,
Your love sustains me when all else is gone.
So I surrender, heart, soul, and mind,
Until nothing of me is left behind,
Until Your love consumes me!
