Hold on a little longer!
Struggling seems to be the toll of the day
Hardships and troubles appearing as the only way
Despondency and hopelessness weighing heavy on your heart
Wishing you had power to make it work, even if it’s just a part
Very fast loosing hope of a future, ready to let go the wheel
Feeling disgusted by the unending ugly feel
Just when no strength is left
To support the overwhelming heft
When you are convinced that all is lost
That moment when you are ready to give up at all cost
That’s when the heavens open
With instructions for you to begin the action!
Too unfair, you always cry
Tears down your cheeks, pain like sty
Short of breath, left to only ask why
Why the toil if there is nothing to show
Why the faith if everything is so slow
Why stand if that only gets you a blow
“Life sucks” becomes the key word of your conversation
Struck down, destroyed, cast out in eternal damnation
Feeling like “the odd one out” of all God’s creation,
With no power, no freedom, confused with no clue
Of the way out, having forgotten Gods promises that remain true
And His unending love for you.
So you finally make up your mind to let go the wheel
Hoping that someday you’ll get to heal
But still dreading, If only you held on a little longer
Maybe that would have changed your life and made you stronger
Or maybe the pain would have hit you much harder
Something you’ll never know, left only to wonder.
